Here are 7 cleaning tips for your bathrooms:
Since bathrooms are such small spaces it’s best to take out clutter all in one go. Go through the whole space and remove shampoo, soaps and other bottles from shelves in the shower, the vanity, the top of the toilet and any other surfaces. As you do this, throw away any empty or expired items, or discard unused items. This will clear your surfaces and make the next steps much faster.
Many bathroom cleaners need time to work. Spray down your tub and shower according to the directions on your product and move on. Giving the product time to work makes your life easier when it comes to scrubbing.
Clean the Toilet
While you let the product work on your larger surfaces tackle the toilet. Use your favorite cleaning products to give it a good scrub. Remember to clean under the lip, underneath the cover and all around the exterior.
Scrub the Tub
Now that your cleaning product has had time to work it’s time to scrub down your larger surfaces. Use a sponge or washcloth to wipe off all the product, and the dirt and grime with it. Use the shower to rinse off what you can for a cleaner surface. After everything is rinsed off, use a dry towel to dry everything and avoid water spots especially if you have glass shower doors.
Clean the Vanity
With all the products removed, cleaning the vanity is a quick project. Spray it down with your favorite all-purpose cleaner and wipe it down. Remember to clean around the faucet and in all the nooks. Wipe down the front of your cabinets or drawers while you’re there.
Before you clean the floor you need to put all your products back where they belong. Make sure all your surfaces are dry before you put everything back so that you don’t preemptively create any mess. Wipe down the bottoms of all your bottles as you put them back in place to ensure nothing messes with your sparkly clean surfaces.
Mop the Floor
Now that everything is back in place and clean, it’s time to mop the floor. If you have a significant amount of hair or dust on your floor, you need to sweep first. Otherwise, mop the way you would normally mop starting in the back corner and moping yourself out of the bathroom.
Enjoy your clean and organized bathroom.
